PARIS · PRODUCTION GUIDE

The production brief your event MC needs for a Paris event

A usable production brief helps the MC and the crew prepare the same show. For a Paris corporate event, gala or brand launch, gather the following details before the preparation call.

01

Objectives, audience and brand messages

State the event’s purpose, guest profile, languages and key messages. Include sponsor mentions, tone of voice, dress code and communication restrictions. Share the end client in line with your confidentiality arrangements.

02

Run of show and approved scripts

The run of show should identify segments, timings, durations, speakers and transitions. The script should distinguish verbatim copy from sections open to adaptation. Name the approval owner and mark the approved version and any provisional introductions.

03

Names and bilingual sequencing

Supply speaker names, titles and relevant biographies. Add pronunciation notes or audio for difficult names. Specify each segment’s language, which copy is already translated and which adaptations still need to be prepared.

04

Call time, rehearsal and soundcheck

Separate arrival, briefing, rehearsal, doors open, show start and release time. Specify Paris local time. Confirm venue access, the on-site contact and the time allocated for technical checks.

05

Stage cues and technical setup

Agree who calls walk-ons, how updates are communicated and where the MC should stand. Confirm microphone, monitors, lectern and any teleprompter or in-ear requirements. Equipment and technical crew arrangements are agreed with production.

06

Changes and final confirmation

Agree an update channel and a final running-order version. Preparing holding announcements and transitions helps manage delays without inventing sensitive brand messages. Confirm scope, availability and booking terms before the event.
